But the problem that Microsoft has concerning Web Services are not just about SkyDrive and storage. In general, they just don't act like an underdog should. What they need in first place, is attention. They have to animate potential consumers to use their products. And this can only be reached with completely new ideas realized in somewhat radical soutions. Too often they jut seem to badly copy Google's products. What's that Windows Live Calendar supposed to be? Why not integrate Live Calendar, Live Favorites and a new Live RSS Reader and Live Contact Solution into the Live Desktop Application? Maybe I'm just ignorant, but the Windows Live Team just seems slow and less creative than the Google folks. I mean Google Earth was great. Not really useful in first place, but spectacular, new and full of potential. All the news broadcasts talked about it Google gained a lot of attention.

Agreed that Microsoft does poorly on rolling out services globally though.

Available now? Available in the US, UK and India, you mean.

" I try and tell people about SkyDrive all the time, but you know as soon as GDrive hits that everybody will just ignore the fact that Mircosoft were first"

I try and tell people about SkyDrive all the time, but you know as soon as GDrive hits that everybody will just ignore the fact that Mircosoft were first. If they do something now, a big bang, like the offer of huge amounts of space, it'll definitely take the wind out of future Google sails.

Office can just use Skydrive.

Skydrive is in the position right now to do something bold, and I would really like to see Windows Live do this.

It would be kind of cool if Skydrive just turned into a storage space for your entire Live ID account. So all of my mail on that account and files are in one place. Make it 25 gb and that would be sweet. I'd never need any other storage site.

Also the size of the files really needs to be increased.
