Back from CES

I just returned from the insanity that is the Consumer Electronics Show. This was my first year attending and I will say this, to say that the show is overwhelming does not do it justice. I spent the last couple of days checking out what's coming down the pipeline for 2006. Microsoft had a very large presence with Windows Vista and Media Player 11 banners everywhere you looked. Microsoft's "booth" (if you can even call it a booth) was very extravagant. Windows Live had a very big presence as well. They were showing off Windows Live Messenger, Spaces, Mail, Expo, and Live.com. Xbox also had a fairly impressive setup within the Microsoft booth. I chatted with Director of Programming for Xbox Live, Larry Hryb, better known to the internet community as Major Nelson. Everyone was really excited about EA's playable Fight Night Round 3 demo, as exhibited in the epic battle between Chief Software Architect, Bill Gates and CEO, Steve Ballmer. I'll post more specifics along with pictures tomorrow. That 6:00am flight was kind of rough so I need to get a little sleep and recover from all that walking!
