One more thing from Bing: Winter Games Map app

Not to be outdone by the other Winter Games features, Bing Maps has introduced a Bing Maps Winter Games app, which shows you venues, news and blogs, Tweets, and even medal counts from the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, B.C. in Canada:

More on the Bing Maps blog.

Like the other Bing Winter Games features, you need to be signed in with United States set as your country/region (although the Winter Games Visual Search for athletes is available in the UK, you just have to look for it a bit within Visual Search).

Bing continues to gain incremental share, with the latest numbers from comScore showing more incremental growth for Bing in US search market share, and it will be interesting to see what effect if any these features will have.  If nothing else they show off what the platform can do, and it looks like we can plan on continuing to see new features and apps from Bing focused on upcoming events.  In fact, Chris Pendleton from Bing Maps has just posted a link to a survey on the Bing Maps Platform, so if you’re a developer using the platform now’s the time to make your voice heard.
