Everything you need to know about the Nokia Lumia 1020 leaked before press event

NokiaWe’re less than 12 hours away from Nokia’s “Zoom. Reinvented.” press event, to be held in New York City tomorrow (July 11th) at 11am EDT. Whilst we’ve seen photos and press images of the device before, and we knew a little about its hardware (particularly its 41MP camera), we didn’t have the full specifications for the device. But today, a stream of information about the device has leaked to the internet, right before the event. Check them out below:

Retail Pricing

According to WPCentral, the device will be available outright for USD699, and available subsidized on a two-year contract for USD299 at AT&T. No information is available yet regarding how much it will cost internationally, but information will become available closer to launch.

PureView Camera and Nokia Pro Cam

  • Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is built-in (similar to the one in Nokia Lumia 920)
  • Dual capture – ability to take 32MP and 5MP photos at the same time (5MP image is over-sampled where 7MP of information is processed into each “super-pixel”) in 16:9 ratio
  • 40MP and 38MP photos are supported, but only in 4:3 ratio
  • F2.2 aperture
  • Nokia Pro Cam app can manually adjust the following settings: ISO, White Balance, Manual Focus, Shutter Speed, Flash

This pretty much sums up everything about the Nokia Lumia 1020. Of course, whilst it’s useful to see the specs on paper, we expect Nokia to show off the true power of its 41MP PureView camera during the event and give people some hands-on time with the device.
